Dipak Bagia

principal Director of Group of Companies

Dipak Bagia is the principal Director of Group of Companies including Bagia Brothers NZ Limited. Dipak attained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1985 from University of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, and he also a Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand – CA from 1989
He has developed many skills by owning and operating his own retail outlets over the past 30 years and working as an Auditor and Financial Controller of a major Accounting firm in Auckland.
Since 1989, he has been involved in retailing throughout New Zealand and he has held franchises with Caltex, NZ Post, Kiwibank and The New Zealand Lotteries Commission all of whom will attest to his professional and committed approach to retailing.
Dipak is also on the Service Station Committee of the Motor Trade Association and heads the financial team for the Northern Region.
Retailing places strong demands on the retailer.  It is important that the product mix is right, the service exceptional and the management of staff exact. These are skills learnt in the 24-hour convenience store industry where Dipak is a leading exponent.

Sanjai Bagia

Director-Operations of the Group of companies

Sanjai Bagia is the Director-Operations of the Group of companies including Bagia Brother NZ Limited. Sanjai attained his Bachelor of Computer Science Degree in 1986 from University of Waikato, New Zealand.
He started his career as an IT professional in Software Engineering and Programming with New Zealand Dairy Board & then Farmers. He was working as the Senior Project Manager and Technical Head of CARINA – Departure Control and Reservations Business System in Air New Zealand, before he joined the Bagia Group as a fulltime director.
He is also holding positions in following boards,
  • Board Member of CT Group (Caltex Retailers)
  • Board Member of ZACC (Caltex Retailer and Z Energy Forum)
  • Chairman of the Board Red Circle Co-operative
  • Chairman of the Board CSB3 – Caltex Retailer Co-operative
His expertise and hard work have led the group to win many excellence awards in several areas.

The Group has invested significantly in upgrading all stores to lead in all aspects of operations in its class. Below are some of the awards we have received in past years.

In 2016 Caltex Partnership conference held in San Francisco (25th- 28th July 2016)

  • Best Overall Caltex Retailer in New Zealand
  • Best Auckland/North Regional Retailer in New Zealand
  • Outstanding Network/Investment contribution award for Caltex Oteha Valley
  • Outstanding Network/Investment contribution award for Caltex Henderson Valley
  • AASF Award for Caltex Karaka – for highest percentage increase in new AASF members for Auckland South region

In 2017, the Group also received the following awards in Caltex Partnership conference held in Nelson

  • Retailer of the Year – Auckland North (Caltex West Coast Road)

In 2018, we were delighted to receive one of the supreme awards in the Caltex Partnership conference held in Da Nag, Vietnam

  • Best Multi Site Operator in New Zealand

In 2019, we won AASF Best On-Site Execution award.

About Us

The Group owns and operates 12 Caltex Service Stations. Nine of our sites are in greater Auckland region, two are in Hawkes Bay (Napier and Waipukurau) and our latest new built site is at Kapiti Coast.
